Our C&D facilities
What is a Construction & Demolition facility and how does it work?
Our SUEZ-ResourceCo C&D facility is equipped with specialised technologies and processes for the recovery and recycling of a wide range of construction and demolition wastes.
It accepts clean commercial & industrial (C&I), clean and mixed C&D waste streams, processing them on site to remove the soil, aggregates, metal, timber, plastic and other materials. Clean fill and wet clean fill from excavation works is also accepted.
Salvaged metals are shipped to specialist external companies for sorting and recycling, while inert fractions are recycled and resupplied to the civil construction market as an alternative to traditional quarried products. Waste streams such as asphalt, concrete and masonry are recycled into rubbles and road base materials, as well as clean, wet and mixed fill products.
Recycled crushed concrete materials produced on site are strict quality control and production procedures to ensure products comply with VicRoads specification section 820 – Recycled crushed concrete for pavement sub-base and light duty base. The facility also produces BITUMATE™ 20mm graded pavement material manufactured from reclaimed asphalt, a superior solution offering improved long-term performance.
