Meet Andy Granger, National Customer Service Manager at SUEZ

We sat down with Andy Granger to find out what he loves most about working at SUEZ and how his passion for the environment, his team and customer experience has continued to drive his strong work ethic within the business and how it affects customer satisfaction.

About Andy:

Andy Granger has been with Suez for 11 years, starting off as the supervisor for the Brisbane State Office, spending 2 years separately within the operations department to gain a more detailed understanding of that part of the business, provided various training sessions to customer service teams and sales staff around the country and working with our corporate office on national projects.

On September 1st 2020, Andy was appointed as a National Customer Service Manager where he supports a team of 40 friendly local specialists across Australia who are committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience.


Andy's favourite customer story:

“A customer approached me in 2011 with an issue which was leading them to look to cease services with us. I resolved their issue quickly, and they were very happy with the outcome which included preventative measures to ensure it won’t happen again. They owned 2 convenience stores at the time. They were so happy with the outcome they started giving me more stores to manage. The 2 stores went to 10 within a few years based on our strong relationship. They then looked to expand into another type of retail franchise and that then added another 9 stores

This was based on a great rapport and staying connected with the customer. It’s good to see that from something that started out as an issue has turned into a longstanding partnership.

What does Andy like most about working for SUEZ?


Andy loves connecting with people. This can be either spending time with his teams face to face (albeit this is now challenging due to COVID) and being able to meet and help customers. Andy says “I get so much joy from being able to provide a solution to a customers’ needs and empowering staff.”

What does Andy do to reduce his carbon footprint?


Andy genuinely loves recycling! At home, he correctly separates all his waste items into the correct bins (Recycling, Green Waste, and the $0.10 refundable bottles!). He says “It takes no extra time at all, and I feel good that I am helping to divert waste away from landfill”. And at work Andy follows the same process and encourages his workmates to do the same.
