Australians are known worldwide for their mateship. Never is this more apparent than when faced with an emergency. As bushfires affect communities across Australia on an unprecedented
scale, SUEZ is calling on its employees to rally together and raise
money to support those most in need.
SUEZ has committed to match all of our employees donations made towards the Bushfire Relief. 100% of donations will go towards rural fire services, communities and wildlife affected by the bushfires. SUEZ has also committed to match all donations made through our employee fundraiser 'Get Shorty', where employees are encouraged to wear shorts to work and make additional donations.
SUEZ has made donations to charities that are helping local communities and wildlife from the devastating affects of bushfires.
$13,000
currently donated by SUEZ employees
$10,000
donated to the Taronga Bushfire Appeal
$5,000
donated to support the Wildlife Rescue South Coast

Wildlife Rescue South Coast is a 100% volunteer-run organisation dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of Australian Wildlife.
SUEZ has encountered many challenges, particularly surrounding our operations on the South Coast of New South Wales and in the South East Gippsland area of Victoria. Over the New Years Period, numerous services were cancelled or suspended from our Nowra operations, with trucks being pulled back to base mid-route to ensure the safety of our people. While services have now resumed, we remain on high alert to ensure the safety of our team.
We ask that everyone continues to air on the side of caution and whenever possible, leave areas of danger early. Please check the weather conditions before heading to one of our public drop-off and transfer station facilities. If your area is affected by bushfires please contact your account manager or the customer service on 13 13 35.
If you are in an area that is affected by poor air quality, please take time to read through our Safety Bulletin below. Also we can encourage our customers and employees to check the air quality with the app: IQ Airvisual (download the app for Android and iOS)
