Our RRFs
What is a RRF and how does it work ?
Our Resource Recovery & Recycling Facilities provide a consolidation point for unsorted material collected from residential or commercial premises and from public drop-off facilities.
RRFs are purpose-built to accept, process and transform waste into valuable resources for reuse in the economy.
Some resource recovery takes place on site through product segregation and processing. Material that is unable to be processed onsite is transported to an Advanced Resource Recovery Technology (ARRT), a Materials Recycling Facility (MRF), or an Organic Resource Recovery Facility. Residual materials are transported to landfill (smart cell).
