The most environmentally sustainable solution to the recycling of organic matter
The facility has the capacity to process up to 65,000 tonnes per year of organic material, including garden organics from 5 councils. This material is converted into high quality composts and soil conditioners.
The composted organic products are tailored to meet market demands, and the process is designed to consistently deliver this outcome. Incoming feedstocks are carefully blended in proportions that ensure the resulting compost meets end use requirements, with parameters including correct moisture content and ratios of nitrogen and phosphorous.
The mixed organics are composted in an open windrow composting process, which enables the temperature and moisture levels in the compost to be monitored and controlled, optimising the breakdown of the organics and destroying pathogens. After 8-12 weeks, the windrows have matured and the compost can be screened and tested for sale.
SUEZ Organics Epping ORRF produces various products – many of which are accredited to the AS4454 Australian Standard – that are then sold to nurseries and landscapers.

SUEZ Environment Report Hotline
SUEZ has a dedicated Environment Report Hotline for anyone living, or working, near one of our facilities in New South Wales and Western Australia.
The hotline has been set up to receive feedback on environmental matters which are sometimes associated with recycling and waste management facilities – like odours, noise, dust and mud tracking.
This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your call will always be answered by a real person - not just an automated message - who will enter your feedback and forward it immediately to the staff at the facility. This allows us to take immediate action to determine the cause of any concerns you may have, and gives us the best chance of rectifying the situation quickly.
